It was a Pizza Night at my home on last Friday. Friday is the most happening night of the week and probably friday night dinner is the most comforting and enjoyable dinner with a few bottles of chilled beer on a summer night. But it was not any store bought pizza loaded with thick layer of cheese. It was deliciously healthy with little cheese. It was the best homemade pizza I had ever enjoyed.
As I had mentioned before it’s not your regular chicken pizza. This is spicy, saucy, Sausage Bacon Pizza. Here is another twist: it has no pizza sauce. Instead it has finger licking Barbecue sauce. Sounds delicious right? Yeah I’m sure no matter how full you are right now, you must be feeling hungry! I’m already craving for one of those pizza while writing this post. I wish I could have saved one bite from it! Alas!
Here is the recipe of quick BBQ Sausage Bacon Pizza. I used Homemade BBQ Sauce. Click here for the recipe. Store bought BBQ sauce will also work fine.
Preparation Time: 15 mins
Cooking Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Yield: 2 individual serving
Ingredients:
Pizza base: 2, small (I used store bought pizza base for individual servings)
BBQ Sauce: 1 cup (I used homemade BBQ sauce, you can also use store bought one)
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese: 1 cup
Sausage: 4 (I used pork sausage, you can use any other variation)
Bacon: 6 strips
Jalapeno: 1, cut into roundels
Olive oil: few drops for greasing
Preparation:
If you are using nonstick baking pan you won’t need any greasing. Otherwise grease your pan with few drops of oil. Preheat the oven to 2200C.
Add the sausages in a previously greased cold nonstick pan and place the pan on low flame and fry until sausages are done and there is no pink strain inside the sausage. Also fry the bacon until crisp.
Place the pizza bases on baking tray and apply little oil brush on them.
Divide the BBQ sauce on two bases and spread them evenly on the surface.
Arrange cheese equally on two bases.
Chop the sausages and place them on the top of the pizza.
Top with pieces of bacon and jalapeno.
Place the pan in preheated oven and bake for 15 mins or until cheese is bubbling and the pizza base gets a color.
Once done remove from oven and serve immediately.

That looks insanely good. BBQ pizza is the only kind of pizza I can eat, thanks to a tomato allergy. Can't wait to try this recipe!!
