“Good morning Mumbai” in our favorite RJ’s (radio jockey) voice, a steaming cup of coffee in our hands and our day begins. Imagine this same morning but with a different start. Freshly brewed coffee, oven fresh bread, cookies with breakfast in the same early morning hours and of course the very same show in radio station with your favorite songs; which one would you pick? Second one, right? So did many other mumbaikars. Hence the rising star café restaurants in Mumbai are born.
In earlier days famous Mumbai special ‘cutting chai’ was probably the only solution for all of our troubles. Be it a confusion of a student or trouble at work or dilemma in family life; everything used to be discussed over a ‘cutting chai’ on the corner of the street. But now time has changed. Yes, now many of us are preferring coffee over our beloved ‘chai’ (tea). The reason behind this change is the rise of the coffee culture, rather to say café culture in India, especially in Mumbai. This has not only changed our taste but also affected our life style. The journey of ‘discussion to decision’ has shifted it’s place from the bench of a road side stall to a cozy corner table of a coffee shop in Mumbai.
