Countdown has begun for Bengali’s grand festival, Durga Puja! It will be a hard job to find a bengali who prefers his/her meals at home during the puja especially if he/she is in Bengal (especially Kolkata). Even people who stay outside Bengal or abroad where Durga puja is not a major festival, like to make this festival time special in their own ways. As Bengalis are best known for their love for food, most of us celebrate their special days by enjoying a scrumptious meal in favorite restaurant.
Those who are lucky enough to stay in our beloved hometown Kolkata I guess they feel like they are in heaven during these 5 days. Kolkata is a paradise for food lovers and who won’t enjoy their stay there on Durga puja!!! Still there are some people who aren’t lucky enough to be there, who can only weep on their situations. So here is the deal; I’m publishing a roundup of Bengali Festival dishes. You guys take a look, choose your own favorites and try them at home for loved ones or simply for yourself.
I had done this similar roundup post on Bengali New Year which was a huge hit. By following the tradition I’m publishing another roundup for you guys. Have fun!
