Mango Mastani is a famous Street food from Pune
We all heard about Peshwa Bajirao and his beloved Mastani Bai. But little we know about a beverage named after surreal beauty of Mastani Bai. It’s called Mango Mastani and it is a famous summer drink from streets of Pune.
There’s a chain of juice centre called Sujata Mastani in Pune which serves this Mastani drink in more than ten flavours and Mango Mastani is one of the bestselling drinks.
Mango Mastani is a delicious Mango Milkshake is loaded with fresh mangoes, ice cream & dry fruits. And the good news is now you don’t need to visit Pune to bottoms up this gorgeous Mango shake. You can make at home anytime! It calls for 3-4 kitchen friendly ingredients and 2 mins in hands.
It’s literally ‘zero’ effort delicacy, Promise 🙂

Read the entire recipe and Notes carefully before you start cooking. Do make sure all ingredients are at room temperature (unless mentioned) and weighed or measured correctly in appropriate weighing scale or measuring instruments such as cups or spoons. Remember these are not regular cups or spoons which is used in daily life.
- Mango: 2, fully ripe
- Milk: 2 cups
- Sugar: 2 tbsp
- Ice-cream
- To Serve
- Scoops of Ice-cream
- few pieces of fresh mango
- Nuts or dry fruits of your choice
- Wash & Clean mangoes. Discard the top & slice mango lengthwise from both sides of seed.
- Cut the mango flesh diagonally & scoop the the flesh. This is the easiest way to extract maximum pulp from mango at home.
- Pour mangoes in a blender along with the juice.
- Now make a smooth puree in blender without any additional water.
- Add sugar, milk and 2 scoops of ice-cream and blend for 15 seconds to incorporate everything.
- There shouldn't be any lumps at all and mixture should be in smooth pouring consistency.
- Now pour the mixture into tall glasses.
- Top with scoops of icecream, fresh mangoes and dry fruits of your choice.
- Garnish with chopped mangoes or nuts of your choice & serve immediately.
