Remember Shakespeare said ”What’s in a name?” A bowl (it’s better be handi) of Mishti Doi will always give you ultimate pleasure. Guaranteed.
Weekends are meant for indulgence, alas that’s history already. We can’t go out on weekends during lockdown but we can always make quick easy sweets at home to treat ourselves. Of course it has to be with minimal items as our pantry is rationed already and less time consuming. Not that we are on rush hour but we are also doing all the household chores as well as our work from home is still on.
So how about Mishti Doi in 1 hour with 3 ingredients, No Gas/stove, No Oven, No pressure cooker are required. Sounds conveniently good?
Mishti Doi or Meetha Dahi is one of the most popular Bengali desserts. There are several processes of making Mishi Dahi at home. Traditional Mishti Doi takes 8 to 12 hours to set which is long and tiresome process but with this ‘fool-proof’ recipe you can make Traditional Mishti Doi successfully every single time.
Today I’m also sharing another easy quick recipe of Mishti Doi with 3 ingredients and Dahi will be perfectly ready around 1 hour of time to enjoy during the covid19 lockdown.
P.S. this is not Bhapa Doi.

Read the entire recipe and Notes carefully before you start cooking. Do make sure all ingredients are at room temperature (unless mentioned) and weighed or measured correctly in appropriate weighing scale or measuring instruments such as cups or spoons.
